Three of wands as my daily card

Today, i drew three of wands as my daily card.

This card shows a calm stately man with his back turned looking from a cliff's edge at ships passing over the sea. His robe suggests that he is an established person who has put all his energy and investments in the venture and is now waiting for the returns.

The card tells me to take a long view and wait for the results. Recently i have been learning to invest small amounts in stocks and trying to get the instant results. This card suggest to take a step back and reconsider. It also suggests planning ahead venturing into the unknown territory with caution.

My thought pattern in my daily card

After a long long time i decided to write today on my blog, the reason of not keeping in touch is my long long schedule. My husband went through a knee replacement surgery in the last month and nursing him throughout the month kept me away from my blog.

Today i drew a four of swords as my daily card compelling me to think again over everything that i have been doing. The number four also tells me to reschedule all the four aspects of my life like my work, blog, social commitments and proper rest and meditation which i have been neglecting for a while.

Eight of Pentacles

Today I was in no mood to do my routine work, but just laze around as it is a holiday and my children are home. Whenever they have a day off they want to either spend time seeing some movies or sleep, sleep and sleep.

On this lazy day I drew the "eight of "pentacles" as my day card, which shows the figure in the card doing work and concentrating on doing more work.

We were talking about looking for courses in New Zealand for my daughter who has just finished her graduation last year. So I think this card tells me to concentrate and find a new field for her, and also think of various new avenues that could open for her.

The Eight of Pentacles also implies a sense of material and financial security if we remain committed to the task. The Eight can be a sign of commitment or genuine interest in learning new skills. It is at this point that the spiritual meaning of the Eight becomes apparent. It also suggests the manifesting of your dreams and the transformation of your world. It also says that if you start something never leave it undone, until you reach your goal.

The moral of the story is that I have to persevere on the idea of finding a new course of study for my daughter.

Recurring cards

Hi,

I had a problem with my internet connection for the last few days and so could not blog for a few days.

I have kept busy with all my household problems like my internet, my car insurance and all appliances breaking down at the wee hours of the day. It was a real nightmare and has kept me so busy. The only routine that i could maintain in this mess was my "CARD A DAY" routine.

I was more than surprised when i drew "the Hierophant" four times in a week, where as a "five of wands" would have been very appropriate.

The cards always surprise me and i tried hard to weave the story of the Hierophant in my routine which was getting bad to worst everyday.

The Hierophant is often a warning against becoming too mired by old, outdated values, and to be a good teacher to others.

When things are chaotic, the Hierophant is the one who sorts everything out and dispenses advice. He is the connection to the greater consciousness, which communicates to us through human means.

If we have a problem, the Hierophant says that you know how to fix it, you just have to take action. The problem is not insurmountable. This gave me the energy to give my best to the small problems that i was facing.

The moral of the story is that cards are the savior of my life, and I learn new things everyday from them.
