Terrorism is a curse on the face of earth. Whenever terror strikes it leaves behind a trail of sorrow and loss. Everyday the newspapers are filled with the news of bomb-blasts in some part of the earth, making you feel so helpless and sad.
The year 2007 is about to end, and the people are in high spirits planning different ways of welcoming the new year, but destiny had different plans. The year at the end before leaving us gave us the biggest shock of the year. The untimely death of Benazir Bhutto sents shivers down the spine. It reminds me of the assasination of Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi and the loss the nation suffered after their demise.
Benazir Bhutto was a fighter and a true patriot of Pakistan, who in the face of all dangers decided to return home. She knew very well the consequences of returning to her country after her self-imposed exile of eight years. She had a dream of making Pakistan a democracy in the true sense, and also work towards the welfare of the people of her country.
I see her as the Queen of Wands, a lady who knows what she wants and is not afraid to go for it.She is an extrovert ,energetic and a capable woman. This kind of woman can run a home and a nation with equal ease, and could transform her dream into a reality.
May God rest her soul in peace.

The High Priestess
One of my favorite cards in the tarot deck is "The High Priestess."
This card has been my strength since i first started doing tarot.When I look at this card, I feel drawn towards the imagery of this card. The stately lady sitting on the throne with a crescent moon fascinates me. The two pillars in black and while symbolizes duality and the opposing forces of our nature. The veil with fine prints carries all the secrets of life, not revealed yet.
This card teaches you to tap into your intuition, and also helps in developing your deep seated potential to look beyond the obvious.
Whenever this card appears in a spread, it tells you to follow your gut instincts or your intuition.
Sometimes the answer to the problem comes to us in a flash. Listen to your inner voice, that is where "the high Priestess" is, showing you the way through the many problems of your life.
One can also meditate on this card, the calmness and the serenity of the card will give you immense peace and guide you to your deepest self.

Card a Day
Hi,
I started learning tarot four years ago and found that the card reading could be a hobby, a profession, or an obsession.
Tarot has become the love of my life. I love my cards so much that if i do not take the cards in my hands at least once in a day i feel that i have missed out the best moment of my life. I started with one card reading in a day and have maintained the routine throughout. This keeps me alert the whole day and on the look out for the new meanings of the card. I try to connect everything that happens throughout the day to the card that I draw in the morning. Believe me it really helps.
Reading the cards for ourself sometimes becomes very difficult. It is very difficult to remain objective about the whole spread. You tend to draw the cards again and again till you get the desired result. I always shuffle the cards twice or thrice and then draw a card. In the beginning i use to panic when i saw a card like the three of swords or death. Slowly it started seeping in that these cards are not showing all that is bad, and during the whole day i keep thinking about the imagery on the card. It gives me immense satisfaction when i can connect the card with something that happens during the day. This is the best way to connect oneself with the cards.
